Arizona, Colorado, Chicago (IL), Cook County (IL), Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Allegheny County (PA), Philadelphia (PA), Pittsburgh (PA), Washington, SeaTac (WA), Seattle (WA), and Tacoma (WA).

Sick Leave is NOT paid time off (PTO) or vacation time.

Our employees may be unable to perform their duties if they get sick. Our company follows legal guidelines that may apply to sick pay. We’ll also offer one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked (the “Standard Rate”), up to 56 hours each year*.

*Employees in New Mexico will receive up to 64 hours of paid sick leave accrued at the Standard Rate.

To request sick leave:

Sign in to Workday

Click on the Absence applet

From this screen, you will be able to view your sick time balance, request sick time off, and more.

Requesting Sick Time Off

Under "Request", click on Request Absence

A calendar will appear. From here, you will be able to navigate each month to see sick time off requests and their status.

Click on the date you would like to request sick time off for and then the orange button in the lower left-hand corner:

Select the absence type of "Sick":

Adjust the hours you are requesting (if necessary), provide a comment and attach any supporting documentation (if available), and hit the orange Submit button.

Be patient: a member of our Payroll team will review your request and either approve or deny the request.

Status Key:

  • Grey: in queue to be reviewed or the request has been sent back
    • Check your Inbox in case we have sent the request back
  • Green: Approved
